My new scale model is defective:

If the model has been purchased from a Tekno dealer, you can contact this dealer.  He will ensure that the problem will be solved. If the model has been purchased directly from Tekno, please contact the Tekno Service Department via email at service@tekno.nl.

-          We need the following information:

  • Your name and address;
  • Invoice number;
  • Email address;
  • Description of the complaint;
  • Pictures to accompany the complaint.

My scale model needs repair, but is no longer in warranty:

At this time, we cannot offer you this service. We can refer you to various forums and websites of model builders.


I received my model, but there are parts missing:

How do I return my model?

To return your model, please go to the following link: http://www.tekno.nl/en/retourneren and read the steps.          

-          Who pays the cost of returning a model under warranty?
If the model to be returned is under warranty, Tekno will refund the standard shipping fee.

-          Where do I have to send the model?
The return address is: Tekno B.V, Coldenhovelaan 8, 2678 PS DE LIER, to the attention of “Service Department”.  Add a letter with your name, address, email address and a description of the complaint.


When will my model be available?

The delivery time can be found on the model specifications on the website. This indicates when Tekno expects the model to be released.


How do I know if my model is ready?

You will receive an e-mail from Tekno as soon as the model is ready for delivery. This email contains the details of payment and / or shipping.


I have reserved a model through the website, but I have not received a confirmation.

Once your payment has been debited from your bank account, the reservation processed has started.  You may also see this in your account on the website.


I have moved. How do I change my address?

Your address change can be forwarded by email to info@tekno.nl. Please mention your old and new details in the email.


The payment for the model and shipping has been sent. When will the model be delivered?

If we have received the full payment, we will send the model the next business day.  We will send you a track & trace code once the model has been shipped.


I want to pick up my model at Tekno in De Lier. Is that possible?

Yes, that is possible. Every Saturday you are welcome in our museum between 10:00 and 15:00. On weekends you can pick up your model by appointment (email to info@tekno.nl) at the office.


I don’t want to return my model yet, but wait for other models to arrive so I can save on shipping costs.

We need to receive the full payment so that the model is reserved for you. You can transfer the amount to us without returning your model. Please mention in the payment that you want to hold the model or send an email to info@tekno.nl.  We will hold the model for you until you want a shipment with multiple models.


What are the shipping costs of a model?

What does "Model not in stock" mean?

This model is no longer in stock. Our models are collector items, so they are only produced once in a limited edition.


What does “Reserve model” mean?

This model is still in production and not yet delivered. You can reserve the model by making a deposit. Follow the instructions in the web shop.


What does “Reserve model option is closed” mean?

This model is still in production and not yet delivered. Unfortunately, this model is no longer available for reservation.


Do you also sell (spare) parts?

For parts please visit our museum every Saturday (10:00 - 15:00). Here we have a limited amount of spare parts that are left from our production. If this fails, you can try contacting  www.bemomodels.com or www.modeltruckparts.nl.


Payment options

You can pay by credit card, PayPal, IDEAL or bank transfer.


When is the museum open?

The museum is open every Saturday (except holidays) from 10:00 to 15:00.  Any additional opening days are announced separately on the website and in the newsletter.

With groups it is also possible to visit the museum by appointment.


What is the address?

What can I see in the museum?

In the museum, most of the models featured are produced by Tekno and Lion Toys. In addition, we show how model cars are produced.  You can also see real “classic” trucks. 


Can I also buy models in the museum?

In the museum there is a shop where you can buy A- and B-choice models, but also individual (spare) parts. 


Is it possible to make a model of my truck?

Yes, but the minimum production amount is 150 pieces. It is not possible to make a single piece of the original.


How can I make a truck?

You can request a quote via the following link: http://www.tekno.nl/nl/business/. To make a good offer, we need pictures (from all sides) of the original truck. We cannot make you a price without receiving the requested pictures.
