M.J. de Wilde's classic 1987 Scania 142 V8

Shortly after the turn of the century, in 1910 to be exact, M.J. de Wilde Transport was founded by Jan de Wilde. With one horse and wagon loads of fruit, vegetables and cattle were transported to markets in and around Westland. Some 12 years after its founding Jan de Wilde switched to a different type of horsepower, i.e. the horses were exchanged for the first car with a cargo box, a Chevrolet.

This Scania 142 V8 braved the road for the first time in 1987. Under the slogan "Transportation Throughout Europe," at the time, this truck drove all over Europe: from France, Spain and Italy to the Eastern Bloc, former Soviet Union and Balkan countries.

The company dissolved in 2006, but this rich history has not been forgotten. On the contrary; the fourth model manufactured by Tekno from M.J. de Wilde to scale is now available for reservation in the webshop.
