New: Moffett truck with mounted forklift

New in our range is the Hiab Moffett; a truck mounted forklift where drivers can independently load and unload their loads. The detailed model is soon to be available!

The first truck mounted forklift was developed in the 1970s by the Dutchman Hessel Kooi. This became a huge success and has become known as "Kooiaap". His company was sold to Moffett in 1994, which has since become part of Hiab.

Thanks to the Hiab Moffett, the driver always has his own forklift with him and is therefore not dependent on third parties. Also, the Moffett does not take up any space in the cargo area because it hangs on the back of the trailer. The Moffett is extremely maneuverable and has a lifting capacity of up to 3.5 tonnes and heights up to more than 4 metres.

The Tekno Moffett consists of more than 40 parts and is therefore very detailed. It also has some movable functions such as the boom and steerable rear wheel. The Moffett unit is available separately and comes with various accessories to mount on different trailers such as a curtain side trailer and a drawbar trailer.
